How many times have you been poked by a friend or a stranger? What was your reaction? Many dictionaries define the term Poke as a gesture of  tapping and/or softly jabbing another person with the tip of your finger or another object. This is usually done to capture this particular person’s attention, and is commonly used as a form of joking, teasing, or annoying that person.
